The Answer is spaying and neutering!
The Animal Welfare Network:
Through our spay/neuter programs the community avoids the birth of thousands of unwanted dogs and cats and the often horrible fate these animals face. They are shot, poisoned, hit by vehicles, used a “guinea pigs” for meth labs, bait for pit bulls, stave or freeze to death.
Spay/Neuter Applications can be picked-up at:
Dunlap Chamber of Commerce 8am-4pm
B-Quick Market –Texaco going up Cagle Mtn (before you get to Save-A-Lot). 6am-10pm
Chapel Hill United Methodist Church on East Valley Road on Tues-Fri 8-12am
Pikeville City Hall
Whitwell City Hall
A volunteer is on duty to answer any questions you may have Mon-Fri 1pm-5pm at 423-949-2414 or you can leave a message.

Volunteers are needed who share our concern for animals and the community.
Can you assist with fund raising events?
Furnish items to sell such as candles, crafts, gifts;
Assist with fund raising events; or
Provide administrative assistance?

FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS HELP PAY FOR SPAYS AND NEUTERS AND REDUCE THE NUMBER OF STRAY ANIMALS IN YOUR COMMUNITY.
Please if you can help any at all (even small change makes a difference). No one is paid in the organization and every penny goes for the spay/neuter program. All contributions are completely tax deductible.
